Been a while since i did a journal on here, since the EG Z6 turbo, ive had a couple more civics. ive converted x2 B18c4's and had a MK2 JDM CRX which i converted to B16 engine.
But the latest is a CRX VTI Del sol B16, so will do a small build up from what it looked like and to the present.

The car was a 160bhp 1.6 but i have dropped in an Integra 1.8 197bhp engine. Ive a lad that does road maps on Chrome so see what she'll make.

So here goes....

Day i brought it home, what a sad sight. The lad i bought the car from thought it looked mint with the vented bonnet and Silk black paint.....Clown

Had a couple days to ponder what to do on the car for engine wise and a lad i know crashed his Integra so jumped on it for the engine conversion.
The engine looked a pretty sight with the red gloss on the block.

So stripped that all off

Then out come the B16 engine and box

Cleaned up the engine bay a little ready for the Integra engine.

Painted up the engine ready for the Del sol

Got myself a LSD gearbox and bolted it on the engine and within 3hrs the engine and box was in the car with many cups of tea later.

Conversion came to a stand still for a week until i could get hold of a decent exhaust manifold, which i managed to get a DC Sports one for a resonable price, and stuck some heat wrap on it. Finished the wiring off and aye we got power and the engine is a runner.

Sent my spare cam cover away to get powder coated and dropped it on when it came back. While doing that i fitted the DC Sorts heat wrapped manifold

This weekend got Cerbera around with his compresser and we attacked the shitty chav black rattle can paint and got the car in primer ready for the paint next weekend.

front end primed and back on the car until next weekend.

This is how good the black rattle paint is on the car. Took me 40-50 mins to clean the A pillars and the boot lid up. would have like to see what it looked like going through a car wash.

Bring on next week and the car shall have paint and looking spanking. Will let you know the efforts of me and Cerberas work
Also next couple weeks the car will get its road map on the ecu and then off to the RR to see what it'll make, hoping for 220+ bhp.

The matt black looked shite as it always does, and the filler that was in the wing looked like it was put on with a catapult. Looks 10x better now it's been filled and primed. I'll bring the compressor round next week and get the top coat onto it.

You know me to well Richy i'm always doing sumit to a car.

Hahahah the catapult joke will never die and will always belong to a member from here until the day we die Chris.

I could never guess why the hell he did it but atleast it's all come off. The crazy part of it he never even primed the car 1st just to make sure it'll stay on the car.
Atleast he did key the boot but we'll soon sort that out this weekend coming with some primer.

I do have a couple rust spots to sort out and hoping they not to bad once i rub them back.....

Paint is on the car, just the bumpers to do 2moz and then full wet n dry before the lacquer.

Start of the primer going on finished the rest yesterday.

Then the paint today.

Got a small friend that had to inspect my painting.

Looks well Wayne, looking forward to seeing the finished product. Even though it does resemble something Kermit the frog would drive!

LOL that's what Justine said about the car at 1st. But nowt wrong with the colour when the roof is down and listening to the Vtec singing all the way to 9000RPM.

Looking good mate bet it goes well! Only thing not to my taste is the rim choice but as I say, choice and that's up to you, bit of a dab hand with these vtecs now eh!

Canny rare/ish wheels these days and they do suit the car just right been different to the normal that people fit.

Aye these Vtec conversions are a doddle to do, way easier than a Tro, everything is just plug and play and if you have a non Vtec car and wanting say a B18 you just buy a jumper harness for £60 and job done.

Sounds good, fair play. Looks like you've threw some dollar at your last few! I bet there is a lot of aftermarket bolt on stuff too? Not like metros I've been playing with my beetle for a while now and the amount of readily available tuning / maintenance stuff is no comparison to rover stuff.
