No probs mate, keep meaning to set up a downloadable spreadsheet so you can keep a record of what the companies offer so you can compare but I'm never on the laptop lol

Liasing with Graham Sykes now..

Premium is £200 cheaper than Adrian Flux's renewal quote - but the Sykes quote I have doesn't offer 3rd party cover on other vehicles.. very handy to have that piece of mind if I drive Steph's or my mums car (or any car with owners permission!)

Just seeing if another broker through them will offer that..

Phone up brentacre and speak to John, if you tell him that I sent you(or just mention the metro) he will prob beat most other brokers as he did with 2 of my mates by £200 each.

Mmm as the car is moddified NONE of the insurers graham sykes use will offer 3rd party cover on other vehicles apparently. Balls! Still, £200 less is not to be sniffed at!

Gone with Flux.. cause they matched Sykes price

Premium itself - £295 (£300 excess - £90 windscreen)

am 30, 8 years ncb (unprotected), fully comp, all mods declared, car value of £1000 on paper, can drive others cars 3rd party!

£2 cheaper than Sykes (for just premium) but with Flux I have agreed value & can drive other cars!

Gone for a few extras so I actually paid £343.99 total... gone for the personal accident cover for an extra £15 & some sort of new fangled thing costing £33.99 which means if I make a claim I don't pay the excess... effectively a premium of £328.99 with £0 excess! sweeeet!

If this new fangled thing doesn't read on paper as well as it did on the phone I can cancel it within 14 days & get refunded.

Adrian Flux have just told me it would be over £4000 to insure mine!!
Err...hello?!! I'm 37, clean licence, under 1500 miles a year...
Apart from the RGA front valance it's a standard MG 1300, and valued at only £2k!?!

Has the insurance world gone TOTALLY window licking MAD?!!
