I was thinking you might have bought Edd's Metro turbo,

but after typing Edd's Metro Turbo into google finding pictures instantly its not that car either.

http://www.75andztclub.com/showthread.php?t=211991

I know you like 1275 Metro GTa's but the reg is too early for thoses so I am guessing you got a MG Turbo from somewhere thats been off road along time.

Knew it would be sussed by someone fairly easy Yes I bought the Project Pride #1 car that Kelaroost had breifly. It needs a LOT of work to say the least, but couldnt pass the opportunity to own a car with such credentials that this one has. There are so many bespoke parts to it. Plans are to get it back in to the Project Pride livery.

From what I can gather from a couple of people 'in the know' the Pride cars were both pre-production prototype proving cars that were sat around the factory that were then prepared for the record breaking attempt which they smashed! It was then sold off in 1995, (#2 car was placed in to a museum) and my car was prepared as a rally car. It suffered a light roll on to the roof and was placed in to storage where it sat for many years. It looks sorry for itself, but the plan is to get the shell stripped back to nothing and get it dipped to remove all of the filler, underseal and whatever rust there is (hardly any upon 1st inspection) and commence repairs to the shell, which after a quick look over will need a roof skin and a o/s/r quarter panel. For good measure I'll replace all of the bolt on panels with new items as the price is reasonable on these at the moment.

Anyway, heres some pics from when I picked it up. Looks sorry for itself!

I got pulled by an un-marked cop car at about Rotherham, was disappointed that they weren't filming for Traffic Cops at the time! They 'said' they pulled me because they thought the vehicle/trailer/ load combination was over the weight limit and wanted to check my tachograph (which I obviously didn't have) Then they said it was OK and I wasn't over the limit (they had pulled me into a VOSA station directly off the Motorway yet didn't put the car onto the weighbridge that I was parked in front of)!? They then proceeded to check EVERYTHING, but nothing untoward was found and after nearly half an hour they let me on my way.

Couple i took when we dropped the car off at a secret barn location. Must say never seen so many Metro goodies in a Metro before.

I think we can sort this one out no problem once fully stripped back to a bare shell Cerb's

Will you be keeping this metro when completed? Because it'd be a shame to sell really if you're putting a lot of effort into it.

Connor.

Good luck with it mate, glad it's in good hands where it will get the full rebuild it needs, unfortunately I wasn't able to do that due to funds and storage space.
There are many many goodies on that car but as I said on friday, I'd of been a **** if I broke it
