New user Posts: 22 Location: sunderland | I don't do standard, when my daily car is back on the road I will pull the engine out and give it a good clean new water pump, timing belt ect, Im wanting to make it a dunlop metro challenge replica, but there again how many left say there is only 16 diesel metro 1.4 cd left so do I keep it standard?

Sorry to say this but once you take a new test it voids the old one straight away, Well thats what my local MOT tester said anyway.

Sorry to say this but once you take a new test it voids the old one straight away, Well thats what my local MOT tester said anyway. I bought my white metro with a 14 month MOT, the previous owner took it in 2 months early and when it passed they added it on to what was left. That was 4 years ago mind.

New user Posts: 22 Location: sunderland | I have always took a car in a month before its test to give me time if it fails to fix it, and never had a problem. The good news is my metro now has 13 months mot on her,

Elite Veteran Posts: 925 Location: Thinking of vvc'ing my Roadster Brabus :-) | You can have a 13 month MOT, if you have one a month before the old one runs out so as to preserve the same MOT anniversary as the old one, but you need to present the old MOT cert to do this, I've done it loads of times. Also on the new MOT cert, it tells you the earliest date that the vehicle can be presented for test to maintain the same anniversary MOT date, which is a month before the MOT runs out.
