I've got a copy of Retro Cars Magazine from 2004 which features this Car after it was bought from the auction, I will attempt to scan the pages in for your collection, PM me in the week if you don't see anything

Just found out that this car is going to be raced next season by Patrick Watts. There is a little bit more information on the ten-tenths motorsport forum. This is definitly a must see for 2013. Every time I see this car I regret not buying it , it was totally untouched from the last time it was raced in 1984 when I took those photgraphs.

Many thanks to you Martin for show us the pictures, and off course Graham for having provided and authorized the divulgation.

I'm very interested in the history of these cars, but the information available is very short, and over the years what I could find was very little. Today, thanks to Graham I can see in detail some information that I tryed to discover all over the years.

Do know how much that car went for when Gaydon had their clearing out auction? £2000 bl**dy quid. Criminal. It was in a article in PPC a few years back, some guy had bought it for his 16year old son who was planning on hillclimbing it, only person who seemed to have the foresight to save this - there was more interest in the Mini 25, Mini 30 etc they sold at the same time.

Which of the Project Pride GTi's is that right of the photo?

I have the video from back then with the Metros and the touring car Rover SD1s. Picked up a pile at a bootsale from an ex-Rover employee for 50p each (must have been promos to show in showrooms?) one just happened to have this on. My fav though is the 100mph lap of the Isle of Man TT course by Tony Pond in a standard 827 V6 Rover! Ought to put them onto something digital I suppose

that is exactly the plan yes! I need to find out if the 1984 silverstone tt qualifies as an international race under fia regulations, if so, then yes I can run e.g the dual master cylinders that is shown in one of the pictures and all that stuff

That, together with the information they are in magnesium, that's the only information I've found.

What BBS designation of the rim model, offset, if there are the same model in other material. How rare they are.

IMO all the prices above is cheap, especially the computervision racer and the project pride car.

Honestly, I can't understand how these cars were sold for so low amounts.

Acording to the documents scanned, the car of this thread is is the chassis #003, and about the other 3? Anyone know's where they are?

That's car number 2. Low estimates are pretty commonplace to generate interest and bids. It's what it sells for that counts. Even so £2415 was an absolute bargain.

I don't have a clue unfortunately, I know it's registration number as they are both on quirky number plates that don't relate to the year of the car which actually makes sense as they were both prototype cars that were taken away to be modified. It appears to not have been taxed at least for years and years which is never a good sign

Maybe worth contacting Gaydon asking about the buyer back in 2003 explaining your the owner of the other car, they might give you some information based on that.
