Extreme Veteran Posts: 592 Location: kent | bought this a month or so ago, was planning on k series turbo for it but keeping it a series over the winter for a daily have all new bumpers for it and a full metro turbo body kit to go on aswell as the 12" weller wheels and a fresh set of winter tyres needed a fair bit of welding...but it is 28 years old gave it polish...

'88 MG METRO 1300 Posts: 1117 Location: Dudley, Midlands | When you say an RGM front splitter... do you mean a splitter, or front valance same as mine and Luke's Mk1? I originally lined up my valance for my Mk1 to go on with the turbo kit... (with extra aero tweaks) and I want a splitter built into an engine undertray on my Mk2... so I'm curious to see how either will look!

Extreme Veteran Posts: 592 Location: kent | Its a separate fibreglass/plastic splitter, think its same as the mg metro cup cars had, I'll get some pictures tonight

Extreme Veteran Posts: 592 Location: kent | Hmm not sure on the way the splitter looks on the car Most likely use the turbo kit instead Just spraying the body panels tonight and tomorrow, then next year it will be going into the body shop for the final paint. Coming together now though, hopefully be driving it Saturday

'88 MG METRO 1300 Posts: 1117 Location: Dudley, Midlands | Those pieces are likely for joining it to the bottom of the wing... but will need some trimming to look right and fit properly!? Brochure pic of mine in red doesn't look good to me... but wedged crudely under bumper on a darker car it looked great IMO... so see it 'on' the car before making a decision, don't trust the image!!

'88 MG METRO 1300 Posts: 1117 Location: Dudley, Midlands | But if you do decide you don't want to use it... can I have first refusal on it... mates son is getting a Metro, and at his age, totally standard just isn't going to cut it!!

Extreme Veteran Posts: 592 Location: kent | well got the austin mot today, 1 advisory what was play in the wheel bearing, not bad for the age of the car i guess... opted over the rgm splitter with the turbo body kit...what a pain that was to put on.
