Took my 1983 Metro aka Custard to Ian and Dawn Kennedy's house on Friday and picked it up last night. I was fed up with the terrible ride even after David Abbott had kindly pumped it up for me. The obvious problem was the cans had very low nitrogen in the top half and, as it was only 25 miles away, I decided to get them sorted. What a difference !!! On the way back, it felt like a different car so much so that I am getting them to do my 1983 1.3HLE, which has the same problem.
I am taking Custard off the road at the end of season to have an engine out and underneath resto which was not done when I had it resprayed in 2008, so the whole lot will be ready for 2016.
Money very well spent in my opinion and I would highly recommend their excellent and speedy service - I asked them to take pics of the process so I will be doing a full step by step Guide by weekend on MOC.

nice the hear. I have been reading about this lately. I have a 998 which is used daily and which is getting quite harsh to drive over potholes etc so maybe it is also in need of re-gassing.
do you know what pressure they put in the top half?
did they use nitrogen or just air?
can they be re-gassed while de-pressurized on the fluid side or will this harm the element?
