So apart from it being French, how did I do?

Got one problem, says its a 1.1 everywhere but Im pretty confident that engine isnt that size! Oh and the bonnet needs replacing too.

Even in these little 1.1s you can have some lift off oversteer fun

Thanks Dan, sorry for your loss too!

Wow I wasnt sure it was a 1.1 as it has so much more to offer than the 1.1 metro. If you work on them day in day out, fancy giving me an electrical hand?!

I still have the 1.4 auto metro at my disposal so I'm alright losing one

Thanks for not completely rejecting me about the car

Ahh now thats where youre wrong. See this kid has had an accident before it was sold and has replaced the bonnet, its black and poorly painted, by the looks of it with a roller, to match the car. So thats just another reason why I thought it might have been changed.
Cheers for the help though guys

Check the engine number, should confirm if it's a 1.1 or not for sure.

If the block is aluminium its a 1.1, considering the layout of inlet and thermostat etc

not bad, a few of my mates have had a 106's, handle well and like you say, even the 1.1's push a bit of power. Very chuckable too The only thing that would stop me having one is i find the pedals are far too close together, throttle and brake in particular.

That said, get another metro you fool!

Don't get into a scrap with a new Kia Cee'd... Peugeots come off considerably worse... Write off, that was, all because she didn't stop at a roundabout.

Looks like the 1.1 engine to me! Would never own another one, I must admit. I'm still recovering from the injuries and waiting on the insurance payout.

She hit us at 40! She was speeding and didn't bother to slow down. All four of us saw it coming as she got onto the roundabout and therefore tense up as well. I'm surprised the car didn't roll.

That ain't a 40mph crash, the car would be way more twisted being t boned at that speed!

I hit an Avensis at 10mph and did more damage lol

All the chassis was bent to fook, as was the front end. I was quite surprised the the window didn't smash or anything to be fair. She admitted her speed at the scene!

What injuries did you get from that?
This is what happened to mine when my sister borrowed it. Hit so hard the drivers seat was pushed over and covering the handbrake. She claimed injuries because she had a volvo hit her in the side of her leg and headbutted the door.

They crumple like a bastard! Neck strain, mass muscle spasms down my back from my R shoulder to my lower back, right ankle injury where it went between the pedals as I instinctively braked as I spotted her hurtling towards me and right wrist where I braced against the steering wheel. Nightmare woman! All four of us could barely move the day after.

Oh, and of course my right fist where I punched her window for being such a stupid bitch and looking at me like it was my fault for being on the roundabout. Lol...

*EDIT* Was it her fault? i.e. Pulling out into a junction/into a roundabout? Bearing in mind it's on the driver side, usually it happens that way! Just out of interest really.
