hey guys ,so a little about my self , i brought a 1989 metro city x 1.3 not long back for the engine ,i own a classic mini that im in the process of rebuild , so i put my mini engine in the metro (1L) and been driving that while ive been fixing up my mini ,its a good solid shell with an imaculate interior

sorry for the poor qulaity had to pinch them off fb

but while driving it around ive noticed the funny looks you get when people realise its a 19 year old lad driving it about xD , so thats made me think about doing a sleeper and thats what has made me come here , as i dont really know whats been done and how easy it is to do with the a series subframe and if theres much differnce between the k series and a series metro frames

Dont know about your model but you could try a Honda vtec engine, your insurance would be interesting tho

Failing that it would go nicely in the mini

cheers for the welcome guys , i would vtec my mini but ive just spent abit of money having all new panels welded in and with vtec i would have to go cutting new panels out so thats a future project , i was wondering if the k series subframes were similar to the a series subframes in the metro i know engine mount would be different but wasnt sure about the body mounts. to get reliable power you have to spend a fair bit on an a seires engine , i know there is the option of boost but then im talking over 1k just on parts before i do any work engine work then im still going to be running around 110bhp without going down the route of upgrading the gearbox and internals , i thought about a 998 turbo in the mini so looked into the turbo option, but ive seen with the k series you can buy a 1.4 k16 16v mpi with 100bhp
