Aye, pictures:

Striped and ready for powder coating, just needs the MGF bits cutting off

James' excellent MOT repair

Scavenged a PG1 gearbox out of this, there were 3 R200 coupes on this yard

Since we didn't have a jet wash we used Texaco's instead

Got the ball rolling on this now, got the garage cleared out and started striping the 100.
pictures....

its not looking bad as far as rust is concerned, the nearside wheel arch is going to be repaired and a small amount of patching to be done in the boot floor.
not half as much as the gti

anyone interested in these?

Lol, James, interior removal expert. You gonna scroung an engine lift next weekend then? Certainly not as rotten as the gti either, bar the wheel arches of course!

That's me yeah richard should be able to get one for the weekend. Think I'm going to remove the dash during the week and have a little tidy up the sound deadening pad is a bit damp.

You get a shed then or just dump it all at the yard?

Not yet but I intend to. Most of the stuff is down at the yard.

update:
had a go at this over the weekend.
Striped it down even more removed the skirts and wings to reveal a little amount of rust thankfully nothing too major.
during last week i began to prep the mgf subframe its now ready for the powder coaters along with tob arms, bottom arms and a few other bits.

matt has done a cracking job at plating up the lower part of the front panel.

a while since last update seems to be taking far too long to build this but hopefully going to crack on in the next few weeks.
dropped the existing subframe out. whilst its out i can really clean the engine bay and bulk head.

had a few bits powder coated, bought a set of polybushes, fitted mgf lower balljoints yet to fit the upper balljoints because i cant get the bloody things out! may end up taking them to the garage so they can impact them out.

anyway few pictures:

powder coated lower arms

powder coated subframe

lower arms with polybushes and new ball joints

subframe built up

got the mgf yellowband rack fitted with new track rod ends, got mgf brakes and new mintex discs and pads to put on tomorrow.

Those wheels are so naff and dated!
You've got to leave those on it, aswell as the faded bumpers!!
All adds to the effect of a sleeper!?!

Forgot you had one! Went to a garage do get them off yesterday, he didn't charge which is always a bonus!
Thanks for the offer though Liam!
