Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | Not much to report at the moment. I have had quite alot of bother fitting the tf frame because I have ended up with positive camber some how! Been scratching my head with it for a good week now! My phone camera is goosed too so I can't get any decent photos

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | So since putting the tf frame on I have had positive camber! Not really sure what I am going to do at the moment, I have tried everything but it's still there! I have bought some cds tubing and it looks like I will be having a do at making my own wishbones.

You must be doing something wrong as the tf frame is basically a metro frame even with the same mounting and pivot points, with tf front top arms and bottom arms, you should have about 0.5 deg neg camber and about 3 deg caster.

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | While I have been scratching my head with the lack of camber I thought I might aswel do something productive with the time! So I did some science stuff! Box of water and washing detergent a battery charger and a set of old disc rotors off a job and I made a super rust removal tool.. basically it uses electrolysis to strip the rusty nasty stuff off and makes things wonderfully new again! Here is a caliper hanger I did! Very nice I suppose! [/IMG]

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | Just when you think you are getting somewhere! Put 15l of fuel in the tank and got a strong smell of fuel in the car! Looked at the tank around the pump and the gimp has cut a hole in the floor to fit the pump and sliced into the tank! Some people should have been wiped on the curtains!

Lucky he didn't set the car on fire doing that!

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | I can but it is very simply to explain and I don't have a photo at the moment! You need: Old battery charger (one that dosent care if the battery is no good)! Plastic tub Salt or washing detergent and water Lump of old steel or sheet ect Part that needs cleaning.. Fill the plastic tub enough to cover the part you want cleaning. connect the earth - side of the charger to the part you want cleaning.. Get the lump of steel and put that on the other side of the plastic tub and connect the positive to the scrap steel. Make sure the positive wire isn't in the water because it ruins the wire, dosent matter with the earth. I leave it over a day and it's like brand new! Don't let the bits touch though lol and don't breath the fumes! I'll try to get a photo next time I'm at unit!

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | No not at the moment.. I'm chasing my tail with an ignition problem that has developed.. it cuts spark randomly and does huge backfires.. I'm guessing it's cutting the ignition because the Rev counter drops off to zero.. only does it every now and again though so I'm confused!

Elite Veteran Posts: 697 Location: leigh | It's weird. . I did about 5 miles around my unit up and down testing it (mini shake down before I take it for mot) and then after that it started back firing! I thought it had ran out of fuel because there wasn't much in! Put some fresh in and it still does it I'll change the coil pack and see where I stand with that.. taa!
