A couple of threads have bought up the lack of updates to the main gallery, so as a temporary solution - post in this thread to request any modification to your gallery page, or the addition of your metro to the gallery.

Simple rules to speed up the adding process and some quality control

One post per request please to avoid confusion.

New features

Your real first name and surname or just initial of it. Example Adam M’s

Next your Metro model example - 1993 Rover Metro 1.4Gsi.
this makes the Title. Adam M’s 1993 Rover Metro Gsi. And the thumbnail Tag of Adam M’s Gsi. As there may be more than one of us with the first Christian name.

Existing

Post a link to your car or the engine size and your name.

Pictures.

Quality control. Pictures must be in good daylight preferably sunny conditions to provide the best image. They must be in focus and a good quality. Some phone cameras are not good enough.

Number of pictures. 5 minimum. Don’t be shy!!

Pictures of what. Show us the whole car. Not just the front or the same side a few times. We want front view, side, rear, interior and engine even if almost standard.

Size of pictures. Please don’t reshape the picture as this can make the aspect ratio wonky. The standard width of a picture is 500 pixels and the correct aspec ratio height.

Numbers. Want your pictures in the order you want? Label them 1 being the first 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.

Thumbnail. Tell us what thumbnail to use, or even make it yourself. The site uses an odd size of 100x80 pixels.

If we get something wrong, or we post back telling you we cant do it for some reason, or you want something else changing, please make another post (quoting the previous post if necessary).

The idea is that the admin will work through this thread post by post in order, so the admin can keep track of what people want doing (and what other admins have already done), and you can keep track of what we have and havent done to your page - we will just look for the last post which doesnt have an edit from an admin, and have a crack at it.

Remember to keep checking on your posts to see what we have done - if we miss your post out (i.e. if the post after it has been edited, but not yours), then tell us (just quote your original post and tell us we missed it).

Off-topic posts will be deleted to make it easier to track the changes.

Upload photo's to somewhere like http://www.photobucket.com or imageshack, or point us to a thread you've added photo's to. If you email them to someone, then only that person can see them, so its less likely to get done

Hi, could someone add my Rover Metro Gti to the portal gallery please.
Here's some information:

Rover Metro GTi SPi 1991,
13" GTi Cross spoke alloys with Uniroyal 340 rallye 185/60/13 tyres,
Original GTi lightening interior with red seat belts,
1.4 16v SPi K series engine,
Modern mp3/USB compatible CD player head unit and 6x9's in the parcel shelf.
Lowered and individualised,
And a sportex cat back system with a 'homemade' cherry bomb i think silencer in place of the Catalytic converter mated to an early cast GTi MPi exhaust manifold and 4 bolt twin pipe downpipe.

What size pictures would be best?
Would it be better to email them or upload them into this thread? If i can email them may i have an email address to send them to?

Thanks,
Connor.

I'm in the process of updating the portal.. no point putting cars on the old one just to put them on the new one again.

I have 11 or 13 days off over the upcoming bank holidays & wedding - I intend to organise putting the site on an updated, uprated server & then updating the software!

Joss' clubman was unfortunately written off when he rolled it about 2 months ago now... How can you roll a 998?

Take it off a ramp?

There's a few dead tro's on there now - but no matter.. good to have a record of them

I moddified the news ticker on the portal.. only these most recent updates are on there & the thumbnails of the latest updated galleries are links to those pages.. works pretty well.
