Metro Mad Posts: 7653 Location: Tamworth, Staffs | astra splitter will be difficult as it requires a better angle and closer image than you have there, otherwise the splitter will look Sh*te and you wont get the right aspect of it fitted to the car

Metro Mad Posts: 7653 Location: Tamworth, Staffs | I just created them myself, skirts are based uponstandard 100 ones, and i just made them slightly deeper and more detailed as they already have the raised sections front and rear its just that they are not very visable, so i just pronounced them more and the bumper is double up of the 100 one but pulled out slightly more to beef it up abit

"MG Metro 1300" Location: Warwickshire, UK | There damn good mate You might want to use the hue and saturation tool to match the colour of the bumper to the number plate insert . It helps to have the colour of the bumper in the colour selecter so use the syringe tool to get that colour. Just use the magnetic lasso tool around the bumper then goto image - adjustments - hue and staturation and click the colorize button. It helps to have the colour of the bumper in the colour selecter so use the syringe tool to get that colour Edited by MettyCubby1.3 9/9/2006 12:10 PM

I'd REALLY like to do a better (less grainy) 'shoped tro but can't find ANY decent images on the net! And before you say, why dont I take a pic of my r100 - mines a heap of sh*t, rusty arches, laquer flakin off bumper & bonnet, scratched to fook etc. - I'd have to spend hours just cleanin it in photoshop before I could even think about modding it! oooh which reminds me, anyone handy with the bodywork side of things near me, cause I'm rubish/inexperienced, work full time, generally don't see the light of day at weekends & when I look at it I lack motivation to do it - cause I just wanna cry! Still, its nice to dream. mate, give me a welder, some time, and enough sheet metal, and id bloody sort that out fine... but the wheels... well 18"'s are a bit of a push really... i reckon 15"'s would look awesome tho, specially if they were slightly offset to fill the wider arches... nothing is impossible, your imagination is your limit... if you can imagine it, there IS a way to do it (well that saying can sometimes be a bit false) one day, if i get the time and the cash, i may well have to prove this statement right, and do a metro van, with large wheels, wider arches and a nice bonnet vent fully smoothed in... then you can buy it off me for alot of cash jokez

Big Lad Little Car Location: North West (Warrington) | Its a bit big to be sent as a file. Your best bet is to do the following... 1- Download the program 'bittorrent' and install. 2- Download the program 'peerguardian' and install. (always have this running when bittorrent is downloading) (These programs are free by the way) Then go to a website such as www.torrentz.com, search for what you want (ie - photoshop cs) and download with bittorrent. (it helps to get one with a keygen lol) While youre downloading photoshop, you may also want to consider gettin a program called 'power iso' if you dont want to have to burn your copy of photoshop to CD/DVD. Some downloads come with it packaged with the program tho. Hope this helps *I do not condone theft, piracy or, in any way, the use of the internet for aquiring counterfit/pirate goods*

You have the wrong layer selected, select the layer you want to edit, (it helps to title your layers as parts). Also you may have unknowingly lassoo'd a selection you didnt want to, in which case just just de-select it. Try here for aditional advice http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htm

I orignally did amerenth switch v1 a while ago before i knew how to use variation and only used hue and saturation. I since lost that image a while ago and couldnt find it again to reminise so I decided to make V2 utilising the same but with better photoshop skill. So its a closer shade to amerenth than the original. Enjoy

Lotus powered R100 MP Admin Location: Torbay, South Devon, UK | Nice work there - steph's done something similar to mine (i'll get her to upload it later!) one thing i would say would be that the lens flair for the headlights is a nice effect but the resulting colour spot on the left of the picture make it obvious that thats what you've done. Try experimenting with doing that effect on a seperate layer (may have to be a solid colour to do it? in which case lasso round the lights & copy them onto a black layer then set the layer mode to 'lighten'. You now have the chance to erase the colour blobs of flare that you don't want! Another tip - use a layer mask INSTEAD of using the eraser tool. Hit the mask icon on the bottom of the layers pallet (like - [ o ] - ) on the layer you want to erase, then use the brush tool to paint out the bits you want to erase (which just hides them) black to hide, white to show & shades of grey for levels of transparency. This way if you've ereased more than you wanted to - but did it so long ago its not in the history any more, you can just paint it back in with white (un-mask it). - saves you startin from scratch! (saved my ass a few times!) Just remember not to apply the mask until your completely happy with it (or save a .psd with the mask intact so you can go back if you need to!) More tips next week

Somewhere between the first 2 maybe, a kind of anthracite colour. Ta! Oh, and i know i need a new badge for the middle of the wheel, but Azev would probably say i need a whole new wheel or charge me £1k for a new one.

The wheels may be the only set on a metro, for a reason, they look odd as f**k, doesnt make you special. Ive only seen my set of 14" cosmo's on a metro once, and its mine. Havent seen another metro with them on (except for the previous owners) And i hope your going to flare your front arch's like f**k before you try to lower it, or you going to have extra speed grooves cut into the tyre pretty quickly. ,GTI CABZ, - 12/9/2007 10:09 AM i dont think im jealouse mate i was offerd them wheels way b4 you and arron they are utter Sh*te tbh what the point in having your arches sorted to cope for the wheels and still hav a 4x4 jealouse lmafao what ever floats ya boat Hit, Nail, Head! Thing is, his arches werent sorted were they mutts, as they didnt even roll the rear archs like you asked them to, but they "fettled" with it (i.e. said theyve done it on the bill when they really hadnt!) Lotus powered R100 MP Admin Location: Torbay, South Devon, UK | Rear arches weren't rolled all the way round (still has lips at the bottoms) but I bashed them back a bit to give me the clearance I needed Front wings were "flattened as much as he dared" but having taken them off & had a look - he hadn't even cut the tabs of that support the arch liner! I've now rolled the wing arches flat & flared them out using a heat gun & my big 'guns' - I couldn't flare them any more if I tried! I'm confident the passenger side wont catch - but the drivers side does catch every now & then - but whether its on the lip or inside the flare I couldn't say.. because i'm in the car driving it when it happens. *touch wood* I've not cut the tyres any more since i've done it! Salty & Ade can verify how flared the arches are, until I can be bothered to update my journal!

Elf eating dog breeder Posts: 10531 Location: Guildford | On the front of mine, i cut the entire inner lip off, smoothed it flat and then just pulled them out by hand, which now means that they clear the wheels completely. The bodyshop you went to were blatently just having you on, there is never a limit to what you can do.

Lotus powered R100 MP Admin Location: Torbay, South Devon, UK | FreddieS - 12/9/2007 10:49 AM there is never a limit to what you can do. There is if you dont even bother to take the wings off which is what I think happened - he couldn't roll them anymore cause he could see what he was doing - oh & the tabs were in the way! Surprised the back isn't weighed down more - the amount of filler he skimmed over the new arch panels

Big Lad Little Car Location: North West (Warrington) | I learned my skills from digimods (the basic techniques anyway) The only real way to learn is to spend time on it. LOTS of time I must have spent around 100hrs playing with it so far and I still suck. Cutting is only a fraction of the work... the real hard part is ajustment of saturation/hue and gamma/contrast/brightness control. Get these right and provided you already have a good grasp of sketching a picture, then you'll be whipping up a f**ing masterpiece!!!
